BLCF is a charity located in Boston, Massachusetts that helps students and local schools start and fund music programs. Our mission is to "give inner-city children and local schools the funds and equipment to build musical leaders!" Music programs in schools are important because music educations helps young minds to develop creativy and expression of emotions. Also, students who study music do better in other subjects because they have gathered skills of critical thinking which can be applied in the classroom. More importantly having music programs in the schools gives youth an activity to do to keep them off the streets and gives them a sense of belonging amongst fellow musicians. We are always looking for individuals and companies that are willing to help with our cause in the form of time, money, instruments or services.
